Implexx Radar Level Sensor.
A digita, SDI12 radar level sensor for water, liquids, oils & solids.
Overview
- SDI12 radar level sensor with a 4-20mA option
- Low cost, accurate, reliable and robust device for long term installations
- Measure level of any dielectric surface including water, liquid, oils, solids, and more
- Ideal for research, engineers, hydrologists, agriculture and other industries
The Implexx Radar Level Sensor is an SDI12 radar level sensor which is ideal for the non-contact measuring of level of any surface.
The radar sensor can detect the level, up to 70m distance, of substances such as water, liquids, oils, solids, grains and more.
The Implexx Radar Level is radar level transmitter designed for measuring the changing level of liquids, slurries and bulk solids in tanks, bins and silos.

Flexible Outputs
SDI-12 or 4-20 mA? The Implexx Ultrasonic Water Level device can transmit data via either protocol. Uniquely, it is possible to switch between either protocol at any time.
Therefore, the Implexx Ultrasonic Water Level device is suitable for a range of interfaces including data loggers, PLC's, IoT devices, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, WiFi, modems, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and many more.
Also, the Implexx Ultrasonic Water Level device is suitable for the ES-SYS range of monitoring systems.
Easy to Install and Configure
The Implexx Radar Level Sensor can be installed via a thread or flange. Multiple thread or flange options are available for maximum flexibility. Therefore, the radar level sensor is suitable for a wide range of applications and installations.
The Implexx Radar Level Sensor also has an optional easy to use, touch pad and LCD display where the device can be easily configured. Additionally, there are a range of SDI-12 commands to operate and interface the device with any data acquisition system.
The standard cable length is 5m yet this can be extended to potentially hundreds of metres, if required.
Principle of Operation
The antenna of radar level instrument transmits a very narrow microwave pulse which propagates at the speed of light in space. Consequently, when meeting the dielectric surface to be measured, part of its energy is reflected and received by the same antenna. The time interval of transmitting and receiving pulses is proportional to the distance between antenna and dielectric surface to be measured. Therefore, the distance between antenna and dielectric surface to be measured can be calculated.
